San Diego Nonprofit Charity for Hope to Host Bollywood Event
Event seeks to complete $50,000 fundraising goal to continue building new homes for Nepal earthquake victims
Charity for Hope, a multipurpose nonprofit, will be hosting its first Bollywood Charity Event on Friday, Feb. 12, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Royal India Restaurant located at 8990 Miramar Road, San Diego, CA 92126.
Through the Bollywood Charity Event, Charity for Hope seeks to meet its $50,000 fundraising goal to create forever homes for victims of the 2015 Nepal Earthquake who are currently enduring winter on the street, tents or makeshift shelters. Charity for Hope has raised $47,500.00 to date through its partnership with BETIndia.org, an organization that provides relief in accidents and natural calamities such as drought, flood and natural disaster, and has successfully constructed 160 homes in Nepal.
“Charity for Hope believes that everyone deserves a sustainable standard of living, regardless of their place in the world,” said Charity for Hope Executive Director Vipul Dayal. “Our board stands behind the victims of the 2015 Nepal Earthquake, which is why we decided to host our Bollywood Charity Event and extend our fundraising period.”
Charity for Hope gives 100 percent of donations directly to building new homes for those affected by the 2015 Nepal earthquake.
The Bollywood Charity Event will feature a social hour, dinner and dance, and is set for Feb. 12, 2016 at the Royal India Restaurant located at 8990 Miramar Road, San Diego, CA 92126 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Admission to the Bollywood Charity Event is $50 during its pre-sale period and $75 at the door.
